  • Keep things simple: Sometimes less is more. See where you can simplify your copy. Remember, a confused mind doesn’t buy.

A few tweaks can go a long way in bringing your marketing back to life.

Why it works: Can’t remember who sent it, but I loved this subject line I got a few years ago. It calls out the obvious: you probably have lots of cheesy Halloween emails in your inbox right now, so we’re just gonna go completely overboard with it!


It stands out and might get a laugh as folks scroll their inbox, leading to more engagement. (Obviously, if you did this for every holiday, it’d lose its charm.)
